Posy Floral Preview App: Simplifying Flower Selection with User-Centered Design
Client Overview
This project, undertaken as part of a Google Coursera UX/UI course, focused on designing a mobile app for Posy, a fictional floral service. The primary objective was to create a user-friendly and intuitive experience that simplifies the process of selecting and purchasing flowers..
Creative Direction
My approach emphasized a user-centered design philosophy, prioritizing ease of use and a seamless user experience:
Rapid Prototyping & Ideation: I utilized rapid prototyping techniques, including sketching, to quickly explore various layout options and user flow possibilities. This iterative process ensured efficient brainstorming and the selection of the most effective design solutions.
Wireframing for Clarity: I translated the chosen user flow into detailed wireframes using Adobe XD. These wireframes served as a visual blueprint, outlining the app's functionality, screen layouts, and user interactions. This approach ensured a clear understanding of the user journey and facilitated smooth navigation within the app.
Foundation for Future Iteration: By creating a well-structured foundation with wireframes in Adobe XD, I provided a solid framework for future development. This approach allowed for easy iteration and refinement, enabling the incorporation of branding, copywriting, and other design elements while maintaining a user-centered focus.
