Western Protective Solutions Branding

Client Overview

Western Protective Solutions (WPS), a global leader in protective solutions for Emergency Services and the Military, was established in 2022 to unify six brands under a single holding company. The challenge was to create a cohesive visual identity that streamlined messaging and boosted brand recognition across diverse markets.

My Role

As the Creative Manager and Graphic Designer, I led the development of the brand’s visual identity and strategic positioning. In addition, I designed and implemented the company’s website using Squarespace, ensuring it adhered to the new brand guidelines while providing an intuitive user experience.

Process

1. Research: We began by conducting in-depth research into the Emergency Services and Military industries, analyzing competitor brands and identifying key audience needs. This informed the strategic foundation for the new identity.
2. Brand Guidelines: Drawing from our research, we crafted a confident and authoritative tone that resonated with Emergency Services and Military professionals, emphasizing trust and reliability. This tone guided our color palette and typography choices, selecting colors and fonts that symbolized strength and clarity.
3. Website Design: In alignment with the brand guidelines, I designed a website that effectively conveyed WPS's core message while highlighting its capabilities to target markets.
4. Environmental Branding: I created bold and impactful interior signage for the WPS building to reinforce the brand’s presence and authority within its physical space.
5. Marketing Collateral: I designed a comprehensive suite of marketing materials, including brochures, business cards, and tradeshow display backdrops, for use by our sales and executive teams when engaging with the public.

Results

By establishing a unified brand identity for WPS, we ensured consistency across all touchpoints. This not only enhanced marketing effectiveness but also allowed us to communicate key messages more clearly, resonating with our target audiences and driving sales conversions. A cohesive brand message enabled us to cross-promote seamlessly, expanding our reach and attracting new customers from our other brands.
